InDesign Tutorial 2

 Now that I'm onto creating the interactive side of the PDF, I want to try and include a form that will automatically submit the persons information, or at least a mostly functioning mock-up of one, for the back page. 
However, this isn't something I know how to do using hyperlinks, so I am going to find a tutorial and follow one along on setting it up. 

I have notes of how to create one, however, I do not know if this information alone will help me create one, or if it works as an interactive PDF. So first I shall try to follow these steps, provided by a peer, and if that leaves me stuck or doesn't work in my preferred format, I shall look up a video or image tutorial on what to do.

I will be using both the premade list and this webpage with images to help me try to create this form. There is also a video on the site that can take me through it all if I find the image based text too difficult to follow.


Following the tutorial the website worked, due to the fact that it doesn't have a real email address behind the submission button, it doesn't actually submit the information, but the client would supply the address and then it would work perfectly.
These were the settings I ended up using to make the submission form itself.
It took me a little while to actually find the ability to turn it into a button and text field, due to the fact that it was not a window that I could seem to open up to start with, unlike how it was for the tutorial, instead I had to right click the objects.

I also had to move the white background that will make it easier to read over the pattern, as I couldn't select the two overlapping objects there, however, once the form was created I could move it back behind with no problem to export it.

Scamp Vs Final Design

 Between creating three different scamp designs, the design has again changed as I have created the final design for the booklet. This is due to the fact that it does look slightly different as images and the final text is added, adding the lorem ipsum text to create the main text format is helpful, however isn't as accurate as the actual text being in there. This is due to different paragraph and word lengths, as well as force creating line breaks to add some slight interest into the text blocks themselves so they have more interest and don't just look like one solid block of text, which can turn a lot off people off and away from reading something. One of the biggest difference between this is seen in the page spread 2-3. This screenshot is taken from the third pass of the scamp, and even includes the text that is used in the final design of the booklet on the page on the left. The Ad takes up the page in that format with a place holder heading area and a very large QR code.

Feedback

 So I asked my peers about Feedback for my work so far and advice on how I can edit them to make them more successful.  Feedback: My main piece of Feedback was about making the work more cohesive together, that I need to solidify the Gonzo that I'm going with, the personality and what type of Character he is going to be.  The painted piece I created seems to have been the most successful and gave off the most personality, especially with the background. However, the back didn't seem as cohesive to the design and far more generic, as if less thought had been put in when it came to designing the back. The spacing between the text and Gonzo on the Instagram Story ad also needs to be something that I keep in mind, so that it doesn't become overly cluttered, especially as it will be seen on a phone screen, up close. Final Designs

With each asset created for this I wanted them to be cohesive and all work well together, making the event unified and all fitting under one specific scheme and aesthetic to help it feel more professional.
