Media Products & Target Audience

With my target audience being such a wide range of fans it is a little difficult to pick a specific media type that will work for all the fans in unison. It want's to be fun enough and child enough to draw in the child audience, but also sensible enough that it won't alienate the older or child-less fans, and also let the parent's know that it's a real event to attend and not just one for children. 
There's a fine line to balance to work for this combined audience, but then that's how the character works, being silly and fun enough that children love them but also there's enough character behind there that adults still love Gonzo.



In general I will need to aim more towards the adults, as in the end it will be the parents (adults) that bring their children along and have to travel to the event. Advertising is good to draw children in, but they won't be able to make the final decision. 




There's also the case that older fans can also be teenagers, having such a wide target audience of just all of the fans of the Gonzo or even just the Muppets in general. It means that it's rather hard to find the specific way to target them, however, in general as long as I theme it around the character specifically and stick to the theming and techniques of the general media it should reach the right target audience.

Scamp Vs Final Design

 Between creating three different scamp designs, the design has again changed as I have created the final design for the booklet. This is due to the fact that it does look slightly different as images and the final text is added, adding the lorem ipsum text to create the main text format is helpful, however isn't as accurate as the actual text being in there. This is due to different paragraph and word lengths, as well as force creating line breaks to add some slight interest into the text blocks themselves so they have more interest and don't just look like one solid block of text, which can turn a lot off people off and away from reading something. One of the biggest difference between this is seen in the page spread 2-3. This screenshot is taken from the third pass of the scamp, and even includes the text that is used in the final design of the booklet on the page on the left. The Ad takes up the page in that format with a place holder heading area and a very large QR code.

Feedback

 So I asked my peers about Feedback for my work so far and advice on how I can edit them to make them more successful.  Feedback: My main piece of Feedback was about making the work more cohesive together, that I need to solidify the Gonzo that I'm going with, the personality and what type of Character he is going to be.  The painted piece I created seems to have been the most successful and gave off the most personality, especially with the background. However, the back didn't seem as cohesive to the design and far more generic, as if less thought had been put in when it came to designing the back. The spacing between the text and Gonzo on the Instagram Story ad also needs to be something that I keep in mind, so that it doesn't become overly cluttered, especially as it will be seen on a phone screen, up close. With each asset created for this I wanted them to be cohesive and all work well together, making the event unified and all fitting under one specific scheme and aesthetic to help it feel more professional.
